Services
We provide a range of confidential and independent services to parent carers as well as young people themselves who;
• Have a special educational need or disability (SEND)
• are aged 0 – 25 years old
• live in Essex
Our services are easy to access, and you do not need a formal diagnosis or GP referral.
Our primary means of support is telephone consultations with a Family Support Adviser (FSA) who can provide advice/support on a range of SEN issues including, but not limited to:
- SEN support and one planning.
- Education Health Care (EHC) Needs Assessments Requests.
- Annual Reviews
- Exclusions and children out of school.
- Education appeals – refusal to assess, school placement, the contents of an EHCP, refusal to issue an EHCP, ceasing to maintain an EHCP.
- Disability living related benefits such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Carers Allowance and Family Fund.
- Housing.
- Social Care.
We also run two weekly activity clubs in Chelmsford and Colchester for SEND children and their families
